Preparing for Holy Week and the Feast of the Resurrection

As we approach Holy Week and the glorious Feast of the Resurrection, let us prepare our hearts and minds for these sacred days.

This is a time to walk with Christ through His Passion, to reflect deeply on His sacrificial love, and to renew our commitment to live in the power of His Resurrection. Let us fast, pray, forgive, and return to Him with all our hearts—so that when we proclaim, “Christ is Risen!” we do so with joy, faith, and a heart transformed by His grace.

“If we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him.” (Romans 6:8)

St. Athanasius once wrote:
"He endured death that we might live eternally, and He rose that we might rise with Him, leaving behind the old man and putting on the new."

Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, as we enter this holy season, renew in us the spirit of repentance and fill us with the hope of the Resurrection. Draw us closer to Your Son, that we may share in His sufferings and rejoice in His victory over death. Strengthen our faith, deepen our love, and prepare us to celebrate the Feast of the Resurrection with hearts made new.
Amen.
